Why I Ride...Dan Sims
I have been involved with MS for a number of years primarily as a result of having a sister living with Multiple Sclerosis. Robin, 44, mother to 4 grown children and 3 grandchildren, was diagnosed with the disease approximately 10 years ago after seeking medical reason for the dizziness, loss of feeling in her hands, and tripping over nothing.
In my own personal efforts to help, I have become a fundraising participant twice in the MS Walk (Winnipeg) and four times in the MS Bike – three times in Central Alberta and once in Hinton, Alberta (mountains, off-road). Through these events, I have raised over $30,000. A personal goal I have set for myself is to coordinate and hold an annual fundraising event raising a minimum of $50,000 per year.
Ultimately, it is a way for me to make sure my family members are not left behind.

If they chose this option each participant will be assigned a room that has a comfortable bed in it. The College Farside Lounge will also be the location for the banquet at the end of the first leg. Do it as a team!

Whether your walking, cycling or golfing to end MS, it's more fun doing it as a team. The best part is the MS Society staff is here to help. We provide everything you need to create a fun-filled team of people you'd like to walk, ride or golf with - family, friends, co-workers, hockey buddies, book club members - you get the idea. Experience the camaraderie and excitement of a team while helping us end MS!

The team concept is simple, it is 4 plus more! We invite you to join with at least three of your friends, family and co-workers to create your own team. All you need to do is come up with a team name and we will take care of the rest! Our staff will reduce the demand on your time and resources with on-going support and motivational activities and incentives.

For more information on how to get you team started please contact the staff listed at the bottom of this page.
