The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada (Atlantic Division) works to ensure that people affected by MS have the opportunity to participate fully in all aspects of life.

Individual advocacy involves working with people with multiple sclerosis or their care partners in the community to help them obtain needed services and maximize their quality of life.

How To Advocate for Yourself

Individual advocacy includes efforts aimed at supporting, empowering or acting on behalf of an individual. Sometimes viewed as "going to bat" for a person, individual advocacy helps where one feels he/she has not been treated as he/she should have been.
