The MS Society
of Canada, Atlantic Division, is dedicated to providing quality programs,
services and up-to-date
information for individuals and families affected by MS. Our Funding
Programs are designed to address basic quality of life issues being
faced by persons
living
with MS.

Equipment
Provision Program (EPP)
The EPP assists individuals in purchasing specific equipment.
What
kind of equipment is funded?
- Mobility
and assistive devices
- Minor
home modifications
- Bathroom
equipment (accessibility and safety devices)
- Equipment
repair
*please contact our Coordinator of Client Services if you have
questions regarding types of equipment funded.
How much funding is available?
- The EPP
funds to a maximum of $400.00 towards the purchase of equipment.
Is there an annual closing date?
- There is not an official closing date; however, once funds have been
depleted the program will close until the following fiscal year. Our
fiscal year runs from September through August. Applications will not
be accepted once the program has closed.
How do you apply?
- Contact the Atlantic Division to speak with the Coordinator of Client
Services to clarify your application needs.
All applications must be accompanied by:
1. A current application form
2. A written recommendation from a specific health care professional,
usually an Occupational Therapist
3. Two written price quotes from suppliers for each requested item, or
receipts/invoices for equipment purchased.
4. Written confirmation of a diagnosis of MS from your doctor or neurologist.
This must be on a prescription pad or in letter form.

Special
Assistance Program (SAP)
The Special
Assistance Program is been designed to meet essential quality of life
needs faced by persons with MS.
What is funded?
1. Incontinence Products
2. Lifeline Services
3. Costs associated with attending medically necessary appointments which
require long distance travel, or emergency transportation.
How do I apply?
Please contact the Coordinator of Client Services directly to find
out more about our Special Assistance Program. Please note that all
applications
for transportation assistance must be pre-approved by the Client
Services Department.
