Second Annual Camp for Children and Teens with MS

campers canoeing at the Summer Camp Adventure for children and teens with MSOn August 9th 2008, 26 participants came together from across Canada and the United States to gather at Easter Seals Camp Merrywood in Perth, Ontario for the second annual Summer Camp Adventure for children and teens with MS. At Merrywood campers are given the opportunity to step away from some of the stresses associated with a diagnosis of MS and meet others who share similar experiences.

During the seven days spent at Merrywood camp participants took part in a wide range of activities that included white water rafting on the Ottawa River, an overnight out trip, canoeing through the Rideau Canal, kayaking, pottery, a talent show, organic candle making, a song writing workshop, archery and bocci. On the final night campers enjoyed a banquet and dance on the banks of Big Rideau Lake to conclude a week filled with fun, adventure, new friendships and lasting memories.

You too can share in the experience with photos from the camp!
