This is an eight-week mail-out education and support program
for individuals recently diagnosed with MS. Topics include:
Dealing with your diagnosis . Working with your doctor .
Treatments in MS . Disclosing your diagnosis . The impact
of MS on the family . Maximizing your employment options .
Building and maintaining intimate relationships . Parenting

to receive this individualized at-home program.
- Ask MS - The ASK MS
database contains a wide variety of print material on multiple
sclerosis; from research and scientific papers to books and
articles written by people with MS, there is material available
for anyone from a neurologist to a layperson. To access this
material, contact Susan Hologroski

the topics in which you are interested. It will be mailed
to you free of charge.

Support and Consultation
Supportive counselling and consultation sessions for persons
with MS and for family members.
Self-Help
and Support Groups
Offering individuals the opportunity to share their experience
of living with MS with other people who also have MS and truly
understand. For more information, contact Ellen Karr, Client Services Coordinator.

locations and meeting times
One-on-One
Peer Support
Now offered province-wide!
Peer support volunteers have received training and receive ongoing
support from the MS Society, enabling them to provide valuable
support to other individuals living with MS. The MS Society
can provide you with a peer support volunteer who can meet with
you in person or over the phone. You may choose to make contact
just once or several times over a three-month period. Peer support
matches are reviewed after three months and can be extended
