Ronalee Newham
2008 Portage Spokesperson
At 22 years of age, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Life has changed in many ways but I am still very active and involved in coaching swimming for all ages. I am an educational assistant at Ecole Arthur Meighan School working with the Life Skills class.
One of the biggest lessons I have learned since being diagnosed with MS is “how not to sweat the small stuff.”
I have been involved with the MS Society for a few years and agreed to be the spokesperson for this year’s WALK because I want to help people understand what MS is and how it affects not only those of us living with the disease but the impact it has on our family & friends too.
Please come and join me and my team, Wheelers Walkers, which includes my children, Victoria and Cameron and my fiancé John and of course, Wheeler, our 18 month old black Lab.
Come out and support our efforts to end MS!
